SHOPPING: An early look at a boot trend

During a lunch-hour visit to one of our high-end department stores near my office, I happened to enter the store near the shoe department (imagine that!).
If their inventory was any indication of this season's boot trend, then riding boots are going to be BIG because that style was all they currently displayed.
I was disappointed not to see any over-the-knee (OTK) styles, but maybe it's still too early in the season for that. I'm not sure that I'm in the market for a regular pair of riding boots, but I would definitely be interested in a nice pair of OTK riding boots, similar to the "Peter" style that Loft sold last season.
