Happy 28th Birthday, Jennifer Lawrence!

This talented actress graced us earlier this year as a sexy Russian spy in "Red Sparrow."

Red Sparrow Dominika Egorova Jacket

Black leather jacket, turtleneck, beret, sunglasses, and gloves! Now this a look even I can pull off!

She also rocks a leather dress really well!

Celebrity Leg Show: Jennifer Lawrence

Finally, looking stunning in a military-styled blazer, silk top, leather skirt, and velvet thigh-high boots.

Always fashionable! On Thursday Jennifer Lawrence once again demonstrated her unique sartorial style as she attended a screening for her new movie Red Sparrow in Washington, D.C.

Halloween - to costume or not to costume

It's been years since I wore a Halloween costume, especially to work.  Although we don't have an office policy about wearing costumes that I'm aware of, there are always a few of my co-workers, usually the younger women, who get adventurous and dress up.

So I got to thinking today what I would wear as a costume to the office.  I started poking around on the Internet and came across a 2013 article on Babble.com called "10 Halloween Costumes You Won't Be Embarrassed To Wear To Work" and loved the first look I saw - a spy or secret agent.

I could actually pull this off and wouldn't feel too self-conscious (I think).  It's basically a trench coat, sexy boots, leather gloves, and some dark sunglasses.  This happens to be one of my favorite fall/winter looks!

The writer of the website actually got her inspiration from a fashion blogger whose site I haven't visited for a long time, lovemaegan.com  Besides being a gorgeous blonde, she has a great fashion sense and puts together some incredible looks!  To say I'm envious would be an understatement!  In addition to the photos below, you can see her incredible look here, although I don't think I could wear the coat as a dress like she does!  And those boots are a-mazing!

That said, I'd have to have another great "costume" look underneath, which also happens to be featured in the article.  This time, it's Bonnie Parker of the classic bank robber movie, "Bonnie and Clyde."  This look basically involves a short-sleeved, sweater, pencil skirt, scarf, and beret (gun optional).  Another classic look and the only things I would do is to update the look with a leather pencil skirt and an infinity scarf.

DONCASTER: Early Fall 2011 Catalog

Although pricey, Doncaster has featured some great leather looks over the past several years. While there don't seem to be as many this year, it's still early and let's hope Doncaster adds some more leather to their Fall and Winter 2011 selection.

A great overall look - the crisp white blouse worn under a belted sweater vest paired with skinny jeans tucked into tall, sexy suede boots.

The belted leather jacket looks very sleek paired with nice dress slacks, heels and a big black leather hobo bag.

Although I'm not a fan of the leopard print skirt, the quilted leather jacket is very rich looking, especially paired with a basic black turtleneck and stylish leather gloves.

A jumper dress, turtleneck, tights, and tall sexy stacked heel boots - need I say more?!

Bloomingdale's features great leather from Vince

Bloomingdales.com offers these great Fall looks from Vince.

Not a fan of the outfit overall, but those are quite possibly some of the tightest leather leggings I've ever seen.

Skinny jeans tucked into sexy boots plus leather gloves equals a great date look.

This sleeveless leather dress is definitely a memorable look.

FAVORITE LOOKS: White House | Black Market

Although I've never been a big fan of White House | Black Market, they're showing some great leather looks this season.

Yet another retailer carrying long leather gloves. These elbow-length leather gloves ($98) have potential, but the attached rhinestone ring pattern is not appealing at all to me. Still, the black leather gloves and the matching sash belt really set off the red crepe suit.

For the more daring, WHBM also offers some very nice slim lambskin leather pants ($248). They also look great paired with a tweed jacket and stiletto-heeled sandals.

FAVORITE LOOKS: Doncaster

Here are some of my favorite looks from Doncaster from last season. Doncaster can be pricey, but they integrate some great leather looks into their fashions.

I've been a fan of the white blouse and black leather skirt look for as long as I can remember.

Nice pairing of leather pants with a jacket and sweater.

A belted jacket paired with a leather skirt and gloves is always a great look.
