Chanel 2016-2017 Fall/Winter campaign features lots of long, elaborate black leather gloves

Happened to glance through the Fall Fashion issue of inStyle magazine at the store last night and the ad that really caught my eye was Chanel's new ad campaign featuring lots of elaborate long leather gloves.

Although I'm sure they'll be out of my price range, I especially like the style which zips up the side.

Fortunately, a New York Model Management blog has posted the entire ad campaign here!

FAVORITE LOOKS - Harper's Bazaar, September 2013 - Part 1

This is always one of my favorite times of year - when the fashion magazines come out with their Fall Preview issues. These issues seem to get larger every year, and many magazines even tout on their front cover "Biggest Issue Ever!!!" Fortunately, instead of carrying around magazines the size of phonebooks (remember those?), these issues are now available digitally in beautiful high-definition. These digital versions also make it much easier to "clip" my favorite pages and share them here.

Without further delay, here are my favorite Leather Looks from Harper's Bazaar magazine, September 2013. The issue is so large that I decided to split it up into multiple posts.

Hugo Boss presents a great "career look" paired with sexy black leather over-the-knee boots.

Ralph Lauren pairs this mid-length leather coat perfectly with the height of the black leather over-the-knee boots. One of my favorite Leather Looks!

Sergio Rossi continues their fine trend of super sexy black leather over-the-knee boots. I especially like the nicely rounded toes and stacked heels.

Stuart Weitzman's ad campaign featuring Kate Moss in a variety of their over-the-knee boots is a winner!

Kenneth Cole features long leather gauntlet gloves in Fall 2013 show

The Kenneth Cole collection during Fashion Week 2013 looks very promising as far as leather is concerned.  Although there appears to be lots of leather in his collection, my favorite is the long leather gloves that appear to be gauntlet style.

From the Washington Post:
Bet those models are hoping to take home the shearling coats, quilted puffer jackets, elbow-length gloves and hearty boots they wore on the runway of the Kenneth Cole Productions show Thursday night, considering the weather forecast for the next few days.

Layers were piled on thick: The opening look was a women's mixed-media tweed jacket with two types of vests, wool felt pants, a leather neckerchief and super-long gloves. That was followed by a wool-felt jumper, metallic-collar shirt, mirrored choker and soft pleated pants.

DONCASTER: Early Fall 2011 Catalog

Although pricey, Doncaster has featured some great leather looks over the past several years. While there don't seem to be as many this year, it's still early and let's hope Doncaster adds some more leather to their Fall and Winter 2011 selection.

A great overall look - the crisp white blouse worn under a belted sweater vest paired with skinny jeans tucked into tall, sexy suede boots.

The belted leather jacket looks very sleek paired with nice dress slacks, heels and a big black leather hobo bag.

Although I'm not a fan of the leopard print skirt, the quilted leather jacket is very rich looking, especially paired with a basic black turtleneck and stylish leather gloves.

A jumper dress, turtleneck, tights, and tall sexy stacked heel boots - need I say more?!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: A first look at Fall Fashion

I got my first look at Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale catalog online today. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is always one of the first looks at fall fashion available online. While I wasn't really overwhelmed by what I saw, keep in mind that it's early, especially since the temperature where I live hit 102 degrees yesterday!

Corduroy leggings look big this fall and look even better tucked into over-the-knee boots. The vest is faux leather and shearling - affordable, but neither are my favorites. The brown leather bag is a very nice accessory.

Some nice looks here, all advertised at under $100. I especially like the skinny jeans, the patterned sweater paired with faux leather leggings, and the chunky belted top. However, the far right look is by far my favorite: sweater, shorts, and tall boots worn over over-the-knee socks.

There are some great dressy leather jacket looks here, especially the first two paired with pencil skirts.

Although not a personal favorite, distressed leather appears to be in again this season. For what it's worth, at least it's real leather and not the faux stuff we saw so much of last season.

They're skinny leather leggings, but can't say that I like this look at all, especially the color combination. I'm not a fan of the vest and chunky ankle boots either.

If this is any indication, equestrian/riding and utility boots are going to be big again this season. One of my "must-have" accessories this season are some really nice over-the-knee riding style boots.

Although the weather is still plenty warm outside, it's nice to think of cool fall days ahead!
