SmartBargains deals on boots - nice boot modeling, too!
| With SmartBargains.com "Better Than Black Friday" sale today only, an extra 25% off their already good prices made for some very attractive boot deals. The Matisse pirate boots were tempting except for the straps and buckles were unappealing. I would have snapped up a pair of the Steve Madden "Sabra" boots had not the only sizes available been 6.5 and 7.5. Also, some great OTK boot modeling in the photos of the scarf sets. |

More great Spiegel looks
Spiegel continues to show some great leather looks this season.
Great use of accessories here with the tube scarf (tempting on sale for $19!) and long purple leather gloves.
Although the model looks angry, the jacket looks great accessorized with the long black leather gloves and clutch purse.
Black leather pants - need I say more?
Love the use of bold-colored accessories here - the bright blue tube scarf and the long purple leather gloves clutching a bright yellow wallet.

Hate the faux fur cape - love the gloves!

Spiegel - more great retro leather looks
Although it may not always be the best quality, Spiegel still rocks some great leather looks.
Love the contrast of the bright blue lamb leather jacket paired with the sexy long black leather gloves. The bright leather is a very 1980s look.
Speaking of bold 1980s colors, the purple long leather gloves really make the yellow dress and coat stand out. The beret is a nice touch, too.
Again, great use of bold colors and long leather gloves. I especially like this season's newest fashion accessory, the sweater scarf which can also be worn as a cowl or a hood.

The new Talbot's has potential
Speaking of Talbot's, I was impressed with their fall/winter line in their previous catalog. I've always thought of Talbot's as very conservative, but it's nice to see that they're branching out.
Although the model is made-up kind of scary, I definitely like the sexy leather jacket and long black leather gloves.
Nice use of long black leather gloves as accessories with these outfits.
The long gloves are nice, but the dress on the left would look stunning with opera-length black leather gloves!

New Talbot's catalog
Our new Talbot's catalog came in today's mail and there are a couple of "leather looks" I really like.
I've always thought that "winter shorts" paired with tights were very sexy. This look is made even better by pairing them with a sexy sweater and some long black leather gloves.
I also like the contrast of the smooth black leather blazer paired with the pattern and ruffles of the grey tweed skirt.

Spiegel catalog - 1980s flashback?
| The current Spiegel flashback looks like a catalog straight from the 1980s, especially with its use of bright, bold colors mixed together. It's nice to see the long purple leather gloves with the yellow dress and beret featured prominently on the front page and repeated a couple of more times inside. However, the long black leather gloves paired with the bright blue jacket is a personal favorite. It's also good to see hood / cowl scarves return as a fashion accessory. I bought one several years ago and am glad I held onto it all of these years. |
