Extreme thigh-high boots - "Kane" by Report Signature.

Under the category of "boot looks I'll never be able to pull off" come these very memorable "Kane" boots by Report Signature.  First of all, they're not new, and in fact, I found a 2009 photo shoot on YouTube featuring them.  However, I'm not sure if I've ever featured them on this blog before.  And they're definitely blog-worthy!



The fact that these have straps at the top of the shafts that allow a belt to be attached remind me of vintage "Wild Pair" chap boots.  For the record, I've tried those and found I'm not leggy enough to pull off the look.  If I could pull this look off, I'm thinking it would be fun to debut them at a Halloween party paired with a catsuit for a very sexy Catwoman costume.

Rihanna rocks thigh-high boots on SNL

I'll be the first to admit, I'm not a big Rihanna fan, but the girl knows how to rock some great leather looks.  From wearing leather opera gloves at the 2012 BRIT Awards to thigh-high boots during her first performance in last night's episode of "Saturday Night Live."  While watching SNL, I usually fast-forward through performers I'm not a big fan of, but I found myself sitting through Rihanna's entire performance and actually enjoying it

I was also curious to see how different online reviewers described her outfit.

One reviewer wrote: "In hot pants, tall black boots, a see-through blouse, black bra and studded baseball cap..."

Then, a style blog posted: "Styling-wise, the pop star’s first outfit was right in line with spring’s sportswear trend, from the mesh shirt to the baseball cap. Except, perhaps, for the thigh-high boots in lieu of pants."

And my favorite: "Serving up plenty of leg candy for the fellas, the singer donned black hot pants and thigh-high leather boots teamed with her trademark baseball cap."

Of course, I was especially curious where she got those great boots, and wondered if they were Report Signature.  If anyone has any thoughts on Rihanna's thigh-high boots, her entire outfit, her performance, or the way she pulls off leather looks, please don't hesitate to share!

Rihanna - long leather gloves at Brit Awards

Rihanna looks simply stunning in a backless dress and nicely coordinated brown leather opera gloves as she arrives for the 2012 Brit Awards.

These amazing gloves look extremely high quality. Kudos to her stylist!

Adele - long black leather gloves in Vogue magazine

Following a breakout year in 2011, it's been a huge week for Adele who took home six Grammy awards last weekend and is now the cover girl for the March 2012 Vogue magazine. Better yet, she's pictured wearing long black leather gloves framing her face nicely.
