EXPIRED DEAL: Lauren Urstadt black leather opera gloves for $99 on Gilt

I'm bummed that I missed the sale on these Lauren Urstadt black leather opera gloves on Gilt. I definitely would have snapped up a pair for $99.

These appear to be very well-made and the perfect length for wearing extended past the elbow or scrunched below the elbow. The elastic at the wrist is also a nice touch.

Very nicely modeled, by the way! They really rock the look of the "little black dress!"

Bottega Veneta black leather opera gloves

They're way out of my budget, and I'm not sure how practical they are, but I sure like the wide cuffs on these Bottega Veneta black leather opera gloves. They look great scrunched, but I'd be curious to see how they look worn full-length.

Neiman Marcus front cover features nice leather pants

It's nice to see the front cover of a recent Neiman Marcus catalog feature a look I would actually consider wearing - a decorative sweater top paired with skinny leather pants.

Although these are referred to as "leather leggings," these don't appear to have the skintight fit I normally associate with that style. This is definitely a style I would consider adding to my collection!

As for the sweater paired with these leather pants, I'd probably go with a red or gray, but I definitely like the style, especially the collar.

Spring leathers at Jessica London

Ya gotta love that the winter clearance sales have just started and Jessica London is already promoting brightly colored leathers for Spring, including this classic-styled leather sheath dress.

I also like the leather skirt as it appears to be the perfect length and features belt-loops and a rare front zipper opening. This would look very nice paired with a crisp white blouse or a coordinating floral print blouse as pictured.

Catching up from early Fall 2012

Catching up on posting some magazine clippings from earlier this fall...

"Red, white and boots" is a always a great combination for the equestrian look. However, they've really romanticized the look here by pairing the traditional red equestrian blazer with a soft flowing white dress and Gucci riding-style boots with a very sexy stiletto heel. Yes, these boots would be on my wish list if I could afford them!

Hmmm...not sure if I'm daring enough to try a short flared shirt with over-the-knee boots. However, I'm still a big fan of creating a look wearing a short sweater dress or tunic top with sexy over-the-knee boots!

The mixtures of colors and textures here really provides a nice contrast to the sleekness of the stretch leather pants. For a simpler look, I'd pair the beautiful burgundy turtleneck with the leather pants for a great look for a holiday party or family gathering. Also, I'm a big fan of wide "kinky" leather bents, but the harness belt pictured above is a little too out there for me!

Leather leggings as a basic?

Leather leggings as a basic? Yes, that idea definitely works for me!

As the weather has recently turned colder, it's been more and more tempting to pull on the Neiman-Marcus leather leggings I purchased last year on eBay. In fact, these are so cozy, I'd consider wearing them like sweatpants just to hang around the house! However, I'll more likely save them for a special occasion and pair with a belted cowlneck sweater and some sexy boots!
